Cleaning out your closets before you move?
If you are like me, you keep clothing a lot longer then you need to for the just in case moment you might want to wear that sweater you wore three years ago again. Chances are if you haven’t worn something in a year you are not going to wear it again. How do you get rid of the old clothing, shoes, etc. you have in your closets? It’s easy..
Simply place your clothes and other items you have in your closet into three piles: “Keep,” “Throwaway” and “Donate.” Throwing away and donating gently used clothing items before you move will help you be more organized in your new home, plus you won’t have to pack so many boxes. It also contributes to helping those in need. Your old clothing might be just what someone else is looking for, so don’t just throw everything away! Donate gently used clothing, shoes, etc. to charity organizations such as Good Will. Don’t forget you can use this as a deduction on your yearly taxes!
